New Hampshire historian Robert Perreault will present A Taste of the Old Country in the New: Franco-Americans of Manchester at the Historical Society of Cheshire County on Thursday, June 29th from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.  The talk will examine the experience of French Canadians who settled in the Granite State and the religious, educational, social, cultural, and commercial institutions that helped preserve this community’s language and traditions.  Perreault’s talk, which is free and open to the public thanks to a New Hampshire Humanities-to-Go grant, is part of a day-long teacher workshop.  The doors will open promptly at 12:30 and the workshop will resume for workshop registrants following this presentation.  For more information, visit https://hsccnh.org, email hscc@hsccnh.org, or call 603.352.1895.
