Hike to the Emery Mill Site on the North Branch River

Jul 9 (Sun) Join Alan Rumrill, Director of the Historical Society of Cheshire County, and Jeremy Wilson, Director of the Harris Center for Conservation Education, on a short hike of approximately 1.5 miles over uneven terrain to the Emery mill site on the North Branch River. At the Historical Society of Cheshire County's 18th Century Kids Camp, kids in 3rd to 6th grade will enter the world of Keene in the 1770's. Campers will become a family that lived and worked in the community and would have interacted with Issac and Sarah Wyman at their tavern on Main Street.  Throughout the week children will help run the local tavern; cook and prepare food; make Colonial crafts; barter for goods at market; play games; and meet 18th century…
