Our Mission
About "Voices of Pride"
The Historical Society of Cheshire County is developing and launching a project to record oral histories from members of the Monadnock region’s LGBTQIA+ community. The initiative aims to preserve the voices and stories of individuals within our community, providing a platform for them to share their unique experiences, histories, and memories, ultimately contributing to our region’s collective cultural and historical heritage.

Oral History Studio Opens
The Historical Society of Cheshire County, in collaboration with Keene Pride, will open its oral history studio to members of the region’s LGBTQIA+ community. Interviews typically last 45 minutes and can explore a range of topics related to your LGBTQIA+ experiences.
Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You retain the copyright to your interview and will receive a copy of the interview. The Historical Society will preserve a copy of the interview in its permanent archives for posterity and for educational use.
