How does a teacher training school in rural New Hampshire transform itself into a leading public liberal-arts college? This documentary chronicles Keene State’s rise from Keene Normal School, founded in 1909, to an institution that dares its students to change the world.

Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve is broken into chapters, each covering a period in American history through the lens of a local landmark.  Topics include rural girls moving to the city (Keene) for work and education, education reform at the turn of the 20th century, the Progressive Era, World Wars, and Vietnam era.  Interviews with local residents make this a rich resource for educators to use in a classroom setting.
