DESCRIPTION:Walldogs walking tours \nLearn the stories behind many of those amazing murals painted by Wall Dog artists in downtown Keene.  The Historical Society of Cheshire County will offer guided walking tours of murals on Wednesday\, August 7th at 6pm and Wednesday\, August 14th at 6pm.  Learn some of the amazing but true stories of the people\, places and businesses that have contributed to Keene’s rich history and character.  Tours are Free but require an RSVP as space is limited to 50 guests.  For more info call 603.352.1895.  \nClick here to RSVP

DESCRIPTION:Learn about the impact of the railroad in Keene after its arrival in 1848 and about the many industrial firms that were located along the tracks in the downtown area. We will walk from Water Street to Island Street along the rail trail. Footing: easy Breathing: easy Approximate length: 2 miles (round trip) Meet: We will leave at 9:00 a.m. sharp from the Keene Department of Public Works\, 350 Marlborough Street to carpool or meet us at 9:15 a.m. at the Historical Society of Cheshire County (246 Main Street).
