Come and learn about Passover, the eight-day Jewish celebration of the Exodus from Egypt.   How do Jews celebrate this holiday of liberation?  What are the themes and moods of the seder, the ritual meal of commemoration?  How does this ancient festival of freedom resonate among 21st century Jews? Why is this night different from all other nights? Find out at this Historical Society of Cheshire County program with special guest Rabbi Amy Loewenthal of Congregation Ahavas Achim of Keene.  This event is held in collaboration with the Historical Society of Cheshire County’s current exhibit From Peddlers, to Shopkeepers, to Professionals: a history of the Jewish Community in Cheshire County.  The exhibit is on view at the Society’s headquarters at 246 Main Street in Keene now through April 28, 2017.  This public presentation is free and open to the public.
