The Zukes No Cukes exhibit at the Historical Society of Cheshire County’s headquarters, 246 Main Street, Keene, delves into the vibrant history of the International Zucchini Festival, a beloved event from the 1980s. Originating as a fundraiser for the Harrisville School, the festival grew into a celebrated occasion, capturing the imagination of the Monadnock Region and beyond. This exhibit showcases the festival’s unique blend of humor and social commentary, inviting visitors to reflect on past and present issues through a zucchini lens. Featuring original photographs, memorabilia, and interactive displays, the exhibit offers a nostalgic journey into the festival’s whimsical spirit.
Admission is $5.00. HSCC members and youth under 20 are free.
Exhibit on view through December 31, 2026.
