Help us Preserve the Future of the Past

You don’t just learn history here—you stand on it.

251 years ago on April 21, 1775, concerned citizens gathered right here in Keene at the Wyman Tavern to send off 30 minutemen marching to Lexington and Concord. That moment launched our region’s 8-year journey through the American Revolution.

Imagine: the tavern was where the community gathered. Where families celebrated, where neighbors debated and conducted business, where the community organized and made decisions that changed history. The tavern was the heart of communities like Keene—and next to it stood an 80-foot-long horse shed/carriage shed.

That shed still stands today. It’s 264 years old. And it’s crying for help!
