2-Day Immigration History Bus Trip to NYC
Join the Historical Society and the CALL program at Keene State College for journey into our nation’s immigration history. This 2-day bus trip on a Thomas Charters bus will begin in the garment district of NYC for tours of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and a food tasting tour of the historic Essex Street Market. Participants will have free time to roam and shop before heading to dinner and checking in at the Holiday Inn Express. After breakfast in the hotel on Monday, participants will ferry past the Statue of Liberty to tour Ellis Island. While taking the trip back to Keene, we’ll stop for dinner. Special guest Larry Benaquist, professor of film at Keene State College and film historian, will present and discuss films related to the immigration history theme on the bus.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: APRIL 6th
Bus leaves from the Keene Airport parking lot at 6:00 am on Sunday, May 6th and returns by 6:00 pm on Monday, May 7, 2018. Cost of the trip per person: $330* double occupancy, $390* single occupancy. *per person Cost includes: transportation to and from NYC, admission to all site, overnight accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express, snacks and water on the bus, lunch and dinner on day one, and breakfast on day two.
