Documentary The Vote
August 26, 2020
One hundred years ago, the 19th amendment was ratified, guaranteeing American women the right to vote. To celebrate this monumental achievement, New Hampshire PBS and The Historical Society of Cheshire County are honored to invite you to a virtual screening of the newest documentary from AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, THE VOTE on Wednesday, August 26th at 7pm.
You won’t want to miss this one-hour interactive screening that encapsulates the dramatic story of the epic crusade waged by American women for the right to vote. Immediately following the program, you are invited to stay for a passionate panel discussion featuring Jennifer Carroll, Director of Education for the Historical Society of Cheshire County and Liz Tentarelli, President of the League of Women Voters of New Hampshire.
Let’s celebrate these courageous women’s determined march to the ballot box. Mark your calendars (Wednesday, August 26th at 7pm) and join NHPBS for a special screening of the AMERICAN EXPERIENCE THE VOTE. The screening is free to all. This program is sponsored in part by NH Humanities and made possible thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
All you need to participate is a computer or iPad with a good internet connection. Before the event, you can click here (https://ovee.itvs.org/diagnostics) to run a test to ensure OVEE works properly on your computer.
