Groups Tours are available throughout the year. Staff can work with you to plan a tour of our exhibit galleries, a guided tour of our 1762 Wyman Tavern Museum, or a walking tour of historic sites in Cheshire County.

Field Trips

Schedule a field trip to tour our historic buildings, tour one of our changing exhibits, or conduct research in our archives/library.


With a collection of over 300,000 archival materials, books, and artifacts, the Historical Society of Cheshire County is a great place for conducting historical research.  Our resources cover the 23 towns that make up Cheshire County as well as many other New England communities.

Cheshire County’s rich cultural heritage offers a variety of opportunities for things to do at the Historical Society’s headquarters in the Ball Mansion, the Society’s period house museum the Wyman Tavern, and all around the 23 historic towns that make up Cheshire County, New Hampshire.


Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9 am – 4 pm

Wednesday: 9 am – 8 pm

1st and 3rd Saturday of each month: 9 am-noon

Closed Sunday and Monday
