Years ago, David Kingsbury Frechette grew concerned that the rich history of the Kingsbury Machine Tool Company would be lost to time. The company held deep family roots—founded by his great-grandfather, Harry T. Kingsbury, and later led by his grandfather, Edward James Kingsbury, and his father, Henry Manley Frechette. To preserve this legacy, video interviews were conducted with former employees who had worked at the company.

As time passed, the family gathered and decided to transform these interviews into a short documentary film chronicling Kingsbury’s remarkable evolution from toy manufacturing to becoming a respected machine tool company in the mid-20th century. The film was produced by David’s brother, Peter Frechette, and generously shared with the Historical Society of Cheshire County.
