August 28, 2021 ~ Militia Drilling 10 am – 4pm
If you’ve ever watched the television program Turn, you know that Rogers’ Rangers was a company of soldiers from the Province of New Hampshire. Raised by Major Robert Rogers, this militia was attached to the British Army during the French & Indian War period of the 1740s as well as the American Revolution of the 1770s.
Get your tickets to see the Rangers garrisoned at the Wyman Tavern on August 28th. They will demonstrate military drills, armament, the elements of their uniform, and the provisions needed. The Rangers will be joined by the Col. Ebenezer Hinsdale’s Garrison Company, a group of reenactors who followed military units during times of war. They will demonstrate civilian life as loyal British subjects.
