The Historical Society of Cheshire County is launching a multi-year project to record oral histories from the LGBTQIA+ community in the Monadnock region. On September 18th at 6:30-8:00 pm, the public is invited to the Historical Society to watch a short film featuring the first two participants of this project. This will be followed by a story-sharing event, where attendees can share their own stories and experiences in an open and supportive environment. Members of the Monadnock Region’s LGBTQIA+ community are encouraged to attend and learn more about participating in the Voices of Pride oral history project. This initiative aims to preserve the voices and stories of individuals within our community, providing a platform for them to share their unique experiences, histories, and memories. Ultimately, it will contribute to our region’s collective cultural and historical heritage.
